The father of the previous enemy gets his revenge – taken 2

The tension, breathtaking edge-of-your-seat feeling, and scintillating action are down compared to the previous film. I felt that the entire movie was put together too safely. I still think fishly that I wanted a twist.

I highly recommend this place!

  • A cityscape that makes you feel like a tourist in Istanbul.
  • Excellent performance by the daughter of the protagonist.
  • Liam Neeson's action is still fantastic.

96 Jikan - Revenge

The movie Taken 2, starring Liam Neeson, is the pioneer of the “scary uncle when he gets angry” type of movie. Four years after the first film’s release, a sequel, Taken 2, was finally released in 2012. Liam Neeson continued to play the lead actor. Despite poor critical reviews, the film was a worldwide box office smash hit.

  • Worldwide box office: approximately $370 million
  • Domestic box office: approximately $140 million

This time, the stage is set in Istanbul, Turkey.

The primary setting of Taken 2 is Istanbul, Turkey, where the main character, Brian, is on a business trip. The exotic cityscape is different from that of Paris in the previous film.

The previous film, Taken, was a relatively low-budget film with a budget of approximately $25 million, or it was an attempt to create a better film on a smaller budget. Still, the budget for the sequel, Taken, was about double that of the first film at $45 million, and the film was enjoyable on a larger scale. However, the budget for the “Taken” sequel was doubled to $45 million. The film was enjoyed on a larger scale. However, it is regrettable that the unique sense of speed, ingenuity due to the low budget, and cheapness in a good reason that were present in the first film are gone. Instead, I was able to enjoy the scenery and atmosphere of the city, which I could hardly experience in the first film.

It is because, in the previous film, my daughter Kim was abducted as soon as she arrived at the airport and took a cab to her accommodation. In contrast, in this film, there are more scenes where she first enjoys sightseeing in Istanbul and where the father and daughter seem to be having fun together, so I wanted the cityscape and the atmosphere of Istanbul. As an action thriller, there are a few painful scenes, but it is a relief that there is a scene where we can take a breather before that.

Kim plays a significant role in this work!

Unlike the previous film, Kim, the daughter of the main character, plays a significant role in this Taken 2 film. Kim’s driver’s license test episode, which appears around the film’s beginning, may have given many moviegoers an idea of what would come.

In the previous film, Brian is the rescuer trying to save Kim from being kidnapped. However, in this film, the tables have turned. It is now Kim’s parents, Brian and Lenore, who are kidnapped. This role reversal adds a fresh perspective to the story, making it more engaging for the audience. The series of exchanges between Brian and Kim over the phone as they try to guess who the kidnappers are is a complete departure from the previous film, and may even bring a smile to some viewers despite the seriousness of the scene. Brian’s mastery of giving detailed instructions over the phone to determine his whereabouts and providing guidance was amazing, and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes.

Toward the latter half of the film, Kim’s car chase scene, which we have been waiting for, appears. I was surprised at Kim’s skillful steering wheel handling, as if she still needed to obtain her driver’s license. I was surprised at Kim’s skillful driving as if she had not yet obtained her driver’s license. Kim’s calmness and kindness shone through in the previous film, and they were also on full display in this film. When I saw that she was involved in a series of kidnappings abroad, I was worried that she might not want to go overseas anymore. Still, when I saw the atmosphere at the end, I felt she had somehow grown up to be a strong woman.

Liam Neeson is still intense.

The best part of this film is Liam Neeson’s action scenes, which continue from the previous movie. At 60 years old as of 2012, Neeson has established himself as an action actor, and his sense of action is also brilliant in this film.

The key in all the films was the father’s love for his daughter. Still, in this film, the central theme is the protagonist, Brian’s love for his ex-wife, the father’s love for his son, who is the enemy in this film, and the chain of revenge. It is typical of a series of films that the sequel depicts the main character’s romantic elements or the antagonist’s relationship with the previous film’s antagonist. In the last movie, I was surprised to see Brian killing too many people, even if it was to rescue his daughter, and I was worried about revenge. In this film, that worry was right on target. The father of the man Brian killed in the previous movie is targeting Brian for revenge.

Since the mastermind is the head of the Albanian mafia, Neeson, who plays Brian, is even more prepared and relentless in his attacks than in the previous film, and his action is explosive. Rather than running scenes, as in the last movie, there seemed to be more action with guns in this film. I felt fear and melancholy as he tracked down the enemy, whose appearance and identity he did not know, from where he was being held captive. The scenes in which he uses his head more than in the previous film, such as giving instructions to his amateur daughter, are impressive. Still, I think many people may have felt immense relief when Brian showed up at his daughter’s predicament.
