“A psychic battle between the famous duo of Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning” PUSH

3.5

A battle of abilities. X-Men is famous for the fight of different skills, but this work is relatively straightforward. The psychological battle was more interesting than the battle itself.

Original Title
PUSH
Director
Characters
Nick Gant

Actor: Chris Evans

A young man whose father was killed by Division 10 years ago.

Cassie Holmes

Actor: Dakota Fanning

Her mother is trapped in Division.

Kira Hudson/Hollis

Actor: Camilla Belle

She is the only person with the ability to survive the dosing experiments at Division. After escaping Division with the help of Cathy's mother, she erased two days of her own memory.

I highly recommend this place!

  • Unpredictable storyline
  • A unique worldview where differently-abled people exist.
  • A supernatural battle unlike any hero movie

Summary

Nick, who has a unique telekinetic ability, is asked by Cassie, who can foretell the future, to help her find a woman. The woman, Kira, has escaped from a mysterious government agency called Division.

Summarized by the author.

It would be classified as a B-grade film because of its content and scale. However, the cast is too large to be called “B” grade. The main character is Captain America, a Marvel hero.
The CG was also relatively good. (The CG was relatively well done (not amazing CG, but not the kind of CG that makes you feel uncomfortable, as is often the case with B-movie monsters).
The content of the film is just a flat, linear story. The story is a bland, one-step story with no ups and downs. (It’s not good that Cathy’s mother, the critical character in the story, doesn’t appear until the end. (Was it to connect the story to the sequel?)
If you ask me what the most exciting part of the film is, I’m not sure. The psychological battle with the Hong Kong mafia in the middle of the story and the fight between the telekinetic abilities are exciting. However, since it is in the middle of the story, it gets exciting at the end and is incomplete.

The military use of ESP is a real story!

If you like conspiracy theories, you will enjoy this work.

The “military use of ESP” is depicted in this work. When I looked into it, I found that research on ESP was left in the archives of the DTIC (U.S. Defense Technical Information Center). There is also a rumor that there was a plan for the military use of ESP in the 1960s and 1970s. The plan continued until the 1990s.

A British journalist discovered the plan. The report compiled by the journalist was later made into a movie titled “Goats, Men, Men, and Walls.

The Military Use of ESP. I leave it to each of you to judge whether or not it is true. But if you like conspiracy theories, this is indeed an exciting movie.

The film develops quickly!

The movie unfolds so fast that you can’t even take your eyes off it for a second.

The story begins with the events of 10 years ago. Next, the scene changes to an escape from a mysterious facility. The three scenes run for eight minutes, with an opening sequence in between! The entire world of the film was explained in 5 minutes.

There is no lengthy explanation of the film’s worldview, and although there is narration in the OP, the story is told almost entirely through “images. It is a method rarely seen in Japanese films.

Even when there comes a scene where you can take a breather, you must not let your guard down. The film suddenly enters a battle scene, and you can’t take your eyes off the scene. When you think the battle is over, an important scene is introduced at another location.

The images are fashionable.

This film was full of stylish images. In the case of action films, priority is given to powerful images. I thought that stylishness was secondary. However, the images in this film are very stylish. No matter which scene you cut out, every scene stands as a single picture.

In the OP sequence, historical images are switched from one to another. The meaningful direction, reminiscent of the movie “Seven,” is impressive. The narration by Dakota Fanning also created the atmosphere of the film.

The unique and messy streetscape of Hong Kong, such as the Kowloon Fortress, are stylishly transformed in this film. Even Chris Evans’ walk through the streets of Hong Kong is picturesque.

This film can be enjoyed by those who like action films and those who appreciate art films.

The setting was novel but regrettable.

A novel setting was woven into “PUSH: The Light and Dark Abilities.” I would have liked to have seen a little more in-depth storytelling.

A psychic experiment that the government was conducting in secret. A movie about battles in Hong Kong over items related to the experiments. Just hearing about it is exciting. The setting of the ESP is also attractive, and it is novel that the film is divided into genres: sniffer, Watcher, mover, and so on. There is also a sense of reality, as the film is based on real-life military experiments.

That said, some parts are regrettable in various ways. I would have liked to see more depth on supernatural powers. The ability of the Watcher, which determined the story’s direction, was only a decoration in the latter half of the film. The presence of the last boss could be more substantial, and there is no sense of thrill and excitement.

Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning are a great duo

Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning are a great duo. It was “awesome,” to say the least.

PUSH: The Light and the Dark is a suspense film about psychic powers. On the other hand, it is also a buddy movie between a sloppy guy and a solid girl.

Nick, played by Chris Evans, is a dull man. He is sloppy with money and lives for the day. Cassie, played by Dakota Fanning, is a solid girl.

Looking at their relationship alone, I first thought of the movie “Leon” as a buddy movie. However, Cassie is not just a girl to be protected like in “Leon.

However, their relationship changes during the film. Nick, who has gone through various accidents, has become a Han. Cathy opens up to him and shows her age-appropriate face.

I would like to see another movie with Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning, even in another form.
