The main characters from the “Resident Evil” video game series unite to fight in this “Avengers” version of Resident Evil.
There have been many films in which the characters have appeared as individual buddies, such as Leon & Chris and Leon & Claire, but this is the first time that all five have come together, including in a game.
The stage and the characters are all quite enjoyable for bio-fans, so those who like the “Resident Evil” series will be satisfied.
Beautiful 3DCG film
This film is the fifth total CG film production of Resident Evil. The most recent is “Infinite Darkness,” distributed by Netflix Original Distribution. The “Infinite Darkness” staff has reunited for this film, so the visuals are stunning. Especially compared to the first “Resident Evil: Degeneration” (released in 2008), each character’s facial expressions and textures are improved. In Resident Evil: Degeneration, Leon, and Claire are the main characters, and they also appear in this film, so it was apparent when I compared them.
I have never seen this kind of full 3DCG in any other Japanese film (I think Appleseed is similar), so it is refreshing to see it again, and I feel the greatness of Japanese technology.
The all-star appearance of the cast

The all-star appearance of the cast
The characters are Leon, Chris, Claire, Rebecca, and Jill. Each of these characters is a protagonist in the game. The mere presence of all of these protagonists makes for an exciting storyline. I am especially pleased to see the first appearance of Jill, who enjoyed the games 3, 5, and Resident Evil: Revelations. Jill’s costume and modeling are similar to those of RE3, making it easier for those who have recently started playing Resident Evil to get used to the game.
Although this is an all-star game, Jill is the main character and plays a significant role! There is a joint battle with Leon, knife fighting, and the weapon used in the last fight in RE3, so a lot of fanservice is scattered throughout the game.
The battles full of twists and turns, such as the zombie battle in Vendetta or the fight between Ada and the female president in Damnation, are all great. Why are those weapons there? I can’t watch them without suppressing my desire to ask, “Why are those weapons there? The game is like that, too, and it is a promise.

Whenever some weapons related to each series appear, you can enjoy reminiscing about each game.
The story is familiar, and the story could be more enjoyable.
The film tells the story of a group of infected people who discover that they have all been to an island and the struggle of familiar members who go there to investigate. It is a short 90-minute action film that is great fun to watch.
The fact that there are zombies in the film is not surprising since bio is no longer the same as a zombie.
However, the only thing that let the film down was the enemy characters. The reason why they attacked the all-star members was not apparent until the very end. There was no relevance at all. He was just a poor former Umbrella armed forces member who encountered the Raccoon incident for nothing, and I didn’t make the most of this.
