If you liked Terminator 1 and 2, you might enjoy it.
There are Terminator 1, 2, 3, 4 and the TV drama (which I have not seen). As for the contents, it was a parallel world to 1.
If you like 2, you can enjoy it while remembering. I was scared when T-1000 appeared in the beginning.
The story is confusing because of the parallel world, but you can feel comfortable in the work. That could be because Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney), the main character in this film, was confused, and I could relate to him. However, I didn’t feel the sense of despair and flight when the enemy came out, which is the best part of Terminator.
I was very disappointed that the movie ended so quickly, especially without the sense of eeriness and desperation that the T-1000 of 2 was so terrifying.
The action is the most spectacular in this film. But there are other films like it. It was a disappointment for Terminator fans.
Enjoyable even if you haven’t seen the series

This film is the fifth in the Terminator series. The sequel to the previous movie, “Terminator 4,” was canceled due to the Halcyon Company filing for bankruptcy.
This film was produced in a different direction from the previous series, with a completely different development. For this reason, no scenes could only be understood if one had seen the last series. Speaking of the Terminator, the line “I’ll be back”. I enjoyed the movie even though my knowledge of Terminator is limited to Arnold Schwarzenegger sinking into a blast furnace while giving a thumbs-up.
However, explaining the worldview was the only part that ran through the film before the viewer fully understood it. The film’s main plot is that humanity, which was nearly destroyed by an autonomous machine army called “Skynet,” has regained the world by altering the past. At the beginning of the film, this part of the story is told without explaining proper nouns such as “Skynet,” which makes it difficult to understand. Since there is probably no change in the fundamentals of the worldview from the previous work, understanding this part of the story will come more quickly if you have seen the previous work.
In the beginning, there may be a lot of “what? However, after watching the film for about an hour, you may find that the name of the film is common. However, after watching it for about an hour, you can perfectly grasp the worldview, including proper nouns. If you watch it patiently without giving up initially, you will enjoy it!
How do you defeat an enemy like this?

The enemies appearing in the film are all robots called “Terminators. The main enemies are the “T-1000,” which has a body composed of liquid metal and can transform and repair itself to any shape or hardness, and the “T-3000,” whose entire body is composed of nanomachines and combines the abilities of the T-1000 with human thinking.
They can be repaired immediately by shooting them with a gun or slamming a hammer into them, and they never malfunction. They can also change their appearance and mimic humans to get close to them. Throughout the film, there is a sense of tension in the air, as if one is never quite sure who will attack at any given moment. I enjoyed anticipating how to defeat the seemingly invincible enemies and their strategies.
The time travel element is opportunistic.

An essential element in this film is time travel, used to protect John Connor’s mother, the leader of the Human Resistance in 2029, and to prevent Skynet from being activated, thereby protecting future humanity. Shows that the future will change due to past alteration’s effects. However, John Connor, who appears as an enemy during the film, tries to kill his mother on the theory that he and his mother are okay because they are “beings left out of the timeline. The protagonists also accept this theory that has suddenly emerged.
Throughout the story, the time axis is forcibly aligned with this theory. If you accept this, you can enjoy the film with open arms.
