Dark and gloomy! A much more realistic Gotham City

This time around, Batman and Gotham City are both dark and gloomy!
None of the little quip points or flashy action scenes with the latest mecha and technology were in Christopher Nolan’s Batman.
I was a big fan of Christian Bale’s Batmobile, which had big tires, so I was underwhelmed by the fighter plane.
However, this film is not about flashy action or anything. It focuses on the deep darkness of Gotham City and Batman, which is quite realistic.
It rains all the time, and Gotham City is dimly lit. The images and music perfectly complement the atmosphere, and the music is so beautiful that I had to pull my ears back from looking away for a moment.
It is a film that slowly approaches the truth without any spectacular climaxes, so I cannot deny that I was a little tired after watching it for three hours.
Note the splendid cast of actors, including Robert Pattinson!

Robert Pattinson, best known for his roles in “Harry Potter” and “TENET,” will play Batman (Bruce Wayne). © 2022 WBEI TM & © DCThe Batman (Bruce Wayne) will be played by Robert Pattinson, well known for his roles in “Harry Potter” and “TENET”.
Robert has a strong image as a fresh and good-looking young man, but in this film, he is just dark! Dark! It is dark.
His parents were murdered when he was a child, and this film depicts his second year as Batman with a desire for revenge.
Rather than wanting to save people and the city, he is burning with anger, sadness, and vengeance against the city where the evil that killed his parents is prevalent. There is no sense of a sparkling superhero; the atmosphere is eternally dark.
Zoe Kravitz plays Catwoman. She has appeared in Fantastic Beasts and Mad Max: Death Road to Rage. Her neat, sharp face and spectacular action scenes are exciting.

Jeffrey Wright plays the familiar Lieutenant Gordon; Andy Serkis is Bruce’s aide, Alfred.
Paul Dano plays the brainiac Riddler, the biggest villain of the film. He has appeared in “Swiss Army Man” and, more recently, in Spielberg’s “Fablemans,” and the difference in his performance is a don’t-miss. He plays a killer who is quite insane and, let’s say, sickeningly scary.
The other villain, Penguin, is played by Colin Farrell, who appears in “The Killing of the Sacred Deer” and “The Spirit of Inichelin Island. Many people may not have recognized him since he wears unique makeup and does not look like Colin Farrell from any angle in this film.
A spin-off drama starring Penguin is scheduled to be produced in 2023.
The last scene of this film contains an unexpected surprise. The Joker appears in the last scene as the Unseen Prisoner. Barry Corgan plays the Joker, who also appeared in “The Killing of the Sacred Deer” and “The Spirit of Inichelin Island” (also with Colin Farrell).
The Joker is only seen in such a dim light that I couldn’t tell if he was the Joker, but his monstrous performance made me say, “Oh, it’s the Joker. There is a scene where he talks directly to Batman, but it is cut out for narrative convenience.
It was about Batman visiting the Joker, who is being held under the same sentence as the Riddler, to profile the Riddler. If you are interested, you can watch the cut scene on YouTube, etc.
THE BATMAN II is scheduled for release in the United States in 2025. The lead actor seems to remain Robert Pattinson, so the Joker will likely be Barry Corgan.
Mystery-solving game full of madness

The film’s highlight is the “riddle” sent by the brainiac Riddler to Batman.
The case begins when the mayor is murdered, and a message is left on his corpse.
Following the mayor, the influential people of Gotham City are targeted individually. The “riddle” is sent to each of them. The plot hidden behind the good intentions of the city’s influential people comes to light.
In the end, Bruce, aka Batman, is named as the target of the Riddler’s murder. What is the darkness hidden in Bruce? We can’t take our eyes off him as he uncovers the truth that even he didn’t know.
Batman, the hero of justice who protects Gotham City, also shows his insane side when exposed to the truth.
It has been said that the way he approaches the truth while solving the “riddle” given to him by the killer is a bit like David Fincher’s movie “Seven,” and I thought that was exactly right. I thought it was exactly like “Seven,” a David Fincher movie, and the damp, dark atmosphere was also similar.
