Movie America
Hunter Killer. I love the tension of not being able to make a sound.
It had been long since I had seen a modern submarine movie. The film was full of details such as torpedoing the enemy ship, breaking through the tense torpedo zone, and tilting at an angle during the submarine scene. Another important character in the film is a special forces officer. The film was well-balanced, with both dramas being exciting. -
Cinema Anime
Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse.
Spider-Man was an innovative character typical of American comic books. The art (cartoon animation) differs from Disney's, and the old-fashioned American comic cartoons are well integrated into 3DCG. However, if this is your first time seeing this kind of picture, it may be hard to get used to it. -
Movie America
The Fall Guy. Make an action-packed film.
The story revolves around filming the Australian action movie Meta Storm, a science fiction action film in which a group of people join forces with aliens to defeat foreign enemies. The film stars a stuntman named Colt, played by Ryan Gosling, who becomes involved in an incident during the movie's filming. -
Movie America
Alien: Romulus. Evoking the horror of the origins.
It depicted an encounter with an unknown life form and the fear and survival accompanying it. The entire film is classically structured to escape from a terrifying experience on a spaceship. Of course, Xenomorphs and face-huggers appeared, and the tense scenes between such creatures and the ship's crew allowed the audience to experience the essence of fear. -
Movie America
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. Members of the first film reunite.
As always, the unique character of Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, "Jack Sparrow can't be replaced!" We will be able to say it throughout the future series. It was reaffirmed to be true throughout the future series. However, it is over 2 hours long and has a midway point. -
Movie America
Doctor Strange. Geometric worlds go round and round.
What did you think of this movie? First, I would say, "It made my eyes roll. The world of geometric patterns spinning, spinning, spinning. Some people may get a little screen-sick. -
Cinema Anime
The Lion King
The story continued the anime. The visual beauty of the images, which were full CG but looked like live-action, was terrific. However, the realism made it challenging to distinguish between the same characters. I vaguely recognized Mufasa and Scar, young Simba, and young Nala. Still, I don't recognize Sarabi and Nala when they talk side by side. -
Movie America
The Maze Runner. The beginning of an epic trilogy.
Some labyrinths can't be honest, and there are mechanical monsters that can't be there either, and they attack. (Spoiler alert: I didn't know what these super sci-fi things were until I reached the end.) Even after following the artwork, I didn't know why the runners were there. -
Movie America
Beauty and The Beast. Musical French Folktales.
Disney's first live-action film adaptation of the French folk tale "Beauty and the Beast." There are other live-action films in itself. However, "Beauty and the Beast" is often cited as one of the best works of Disney animation. I felt that Disney put much effort into making a live-action movie based on this story. -
Movie America
Thor. The brothers’ story begins here.
I watched it thinking that since it was based on an American comic book, I would have to have some knowledge of the story to understand it. I wanted to know a little about the story since it is based on an American comic book. However, that was not the case, and it was delightful even for first-time viewers. After the staff roll, a cut hints at a sequel, so I am looking forward to the sequel.
