Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. A masterpiece of science fiction in which the Jedi do not appear.
Chronologically, this is how Princess Leila got the blueprint data for the Death Star, just before Episode 4. For those who have seen Episodes 4-6, this is a heartbreaking film, and I wondered how X-wings and AT-ATs could be so hopeless. -
Cinema Anime
The Lion King
The story continued the anime. The visual beauty of the images, which were full CG but looked like live-action, was terrific. However, the realism made it challenging to distinguish between the same characters. I vaguely recognized Mufasa and Scar, young Simba, and young Nala. Still, I don't recognize Sarabi and Nala when they talk side by side. -
Movie America
Beauty and The Beast. Musical French Folktales.
Disney's first live-action film adaptation of the French folk tale "Beauty and the Beast." There are other live-action films in itself. However, "Beauty and the Beast" is often cited as one of the best works of Disney animation. I felt that Disney put much effort into making a live-action movie based on this story. -
Movie America
Thor. The brothers’ story begins here.
I watched it thinking that since it was based on an American comic book, I would have to have some knowledge of the story to understand it. I wanted to know a little about the story since it is based on an American comic book. However, that was not the case, and it was delightful even for first-time viewers. After the staff roll, a cut hints at a sequel, so I am looking forward to the sequel. -
Movie America
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
It was full of fantasy elements and a Harry Potter-like worldview that I enjoyed. It may be too young for children. I had an exciting and enjoyable time watching it without thinking about anything complicated. -
Movie America
Tomorrowland. The Importance of Dreaming.
A Disney movie, for better or worse. I think the film's best part was the beginning, if not the climax. A curious boy meets a pretty girl and experiences adventure and love with a girl who wanders into a world where dreams seem real and leads him to that world. -
Movie America
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
It is not complicated or educational; it is entertaining and moves along at a brisk and light pace. Most of the work is done on a boat, so it was exhilarating to watch and feel like I was sailing along at a good pace. -
Movie America
Captain America: The First Avenger. The Birth of a Superhero.
It may seem long until Captain America is born. Still, that is good because it is carefully produced so that people who do not know Captain America can enjoy it. -
Movie America
Oz the Great and Powerful. Beautiful, colorful world view.
At first, I thought it was a black-and-white film, but the images became more beautiful in the second half. It was a Disney-like film based on children's literature. -
Movie America
ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER
The film is not just a brilliant play about a real-life president, Lincoln, but also a highly entertaining one that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
