This film comes after Peter Jackson's 2002-2004 Lord of the Rings trilogy. Watching it reminded me of that world. I liked seeing familiar characters again, but the enemy monsters seemed too silly and not very threatening, which sometimes made the movie feel more like a comedy. That wasn't very pleasant.

Caesar, the head of the community, and his fellow apes want peace. On the other hand, the surviving human community, those who have experienced a mature and civilized life, have many grievances despite their endangered status, and they are somehow trying to regain a prosperous world.

Quite different from the previous remake, "PLANET OF THE APES," it is a fascinating story of how apes (apes), abused on the present-day Earth, bond with their friends and work towards their liberation.
